Yesterday i made polenta for Katie. She had never had it before and i had a loaf i needed to use. She wanted eggs for breakfast, so i made those and put them onto of a few polenta cakes. I put cream cheese and cheddar on top of the cakes between the eggs. she liked it :)
By the afternoon she had a recipe for polenta lasagna that she made last night! It's a good thing we had mozzarella and tomato sauce (cheese and sauce are staples in the Kyle/Katie home). It was sooooo good. I wouldn't have made that on my own. Yay for introducing people to new things so they can do amazing things with it. |

I'm volunteering at Portland's holiday ale festival. http://www.holidayale.com/
I'll be there on Thursday December 3rd from 6-10. I'll have Mona over the weekend or I would be there on the weekend.
Beer festivals are pretty cool. Sounds tasty. |

Last night was the Abstract Rude show. They opened for Wax Tailor.
The opener was some local hip-hop. Pretty generic. Pretty white.
Abstract Rude = Awesome! Totally awesome! Loved it.
Wax Tailor I had never heard of. They had a good DJ, a flute player, an electric cello, a rapper, and a singer. They had a good sound and rad visuals. I can see why people were there to see them. Good times.
I went with my Friend Jana. She's rad. We were trying to find Indian food, but settles for tacos before the show. Then we went downtown after the show for some more late night tacos! I like how she knows all the taco spots in town. very useful. |

I'm so excited! Katie's coming down this weekend! I'm not sure what we're going to do but I know it's going to be fun! probably chill tonight. check out some food or a bar or something. i dunno.
We need to go apartment hunting tomorrow. That's going to be fun. not really, but we'll stop at cool places and make it fun.

I had a great time staying here with Ursala, Katherine and Eli, but tonight i'm moving it with Dawn and her dogs for the next month til Katie moves down. I'm super excited about that. I'll be staying around 30th and Killingsworth, kinda by Alberta. |
